Our Beliefs

We are members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC). An evangelical has three core beliefs:

For a fuller understanding of our basic beliefs please see: Evangelical Church Beliefs

The Bible is the word of God,

…in its entirety, as originally given. It is without error and fully reliable on matters of fact and doctrine. It is our final authority and is always sufficient for matters of belief and practice

2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:20-21

The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.

He lived a sinless life in obedience to the Father. He died in the place of sinners, taking God’s punishment for their sins. He was resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. He is the Lord of all and intercedes for his people.

John 1:1,14 8:56-59, Romans 8:34 Galatians 4:4-5, Philippians 2:5-11

Salvation is a work of God’s grace.

It cannot be earned and is never deserved. It is accomplished by the Lord Jesus death and offered to all. All who believe are justified by grace, through faith alone. They are adopted into God’s own family and receive eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:4-5
